What role will you play in our team

Being a member of the ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering team, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers unlock the full potential of ExxonMobil鈥檚 Hydrocarbon Fluids products across a range of industrial applications. You鈥檒l collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to identify needs, provide expert guidance, and deliver tailored solutions that drive long-term value.
What will you do

Drive technical innovation by developing a deep, application-focused understanding of the relationship between molecular structure, processing, and performance鈥攅nabling ExxonMobil鈥檚 Hydrocarbon Fluids products to excel in both established and emerging markets, such as polymerization, metalworking, and metal extraction.

Partner with cross-functional teams鈥攊ncluding commercial, marketing, and R&D鈥攖o identify and shape high-value opportunities that advance the Fluids product portfolio and deliver meaningful value to customers.

Champion the value proposition of ExxonMobil Hydrocarbon Fluids through comprehensive value-in-use assessments that highlight product differentiation and performance in customer environments.

Establish and maintain trusted technical relationships with strategic and regional customers by offering deep application expertise and co-developing solutions tailored to their operational needs.

Represent ExxonMobil at key industry conferences with compelling presentations that position Fluids products at the forefront of innovation within the oil and gas sector.

Act as a key liaison for technical quality feedback鈥攖ranslating customer input into actionable improvements and long-term loyalty.

Identify and contribute to intellectual property opportunities that align with ExxonMobil鈥檚 long-term innovation strategy and technology leadership.

Travel frequency is expected on the role up to 50% per month.聽
About You: Skills and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field. Your foundation in organic chemistry gives you a strong edge in understanding how chemical structures translate into real-world performance.

5+ years of professional experience in a related field

Solid understanding of organic and hydrocarbon chemistry, particularly the structure鈥損roperty relationships essential for product design and performance optimization.
