Lead the future of HR Service Delivery at Basware
Basware is strengthening and scaling its global HR operating model, and we are now looking for a Senior Manager, HR Operations & Service Delivery to lead and develop our highly engaged HR Shared Service Center (SSC) team based in Iași, Romania.
In this senior role, you will shape how HR services are delivered to employees across 10+ countries, ensuring high quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. You will work in close collaboration with Regional and Functional HR Business Partners and the wider HRteam, and you will act as business owner of our HRIS (Sympa), driving process excellence, scalability, and automation.

Your role
As Senior Manager, HR Operations & Service Delivery, you will:

Lead and develop Basware’s HR Shared Service Center, ensuring reliable, employee‑focused HR service delivery across multiple countries and employment models (including EORs).

Partner closely with Regional and Functional HRBPs, enabling clear interfaces, escalation paths, and effective collaboration between HR Operations and HR Business Partnering.

Own and continuously improve end‑to‑**end HR operational processes, **in cooperation with Regional HR Partners (employee lifecycle, payroll coordination, time & absence, benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding), supported by clear RACI models, work instructions, and documentation.

Act as business owner of our HRIS (Sympa), managing system evolution, data quality, reporting, access governance, and collaboration with IT and external vendors.

Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement, actively leveraging digitalization and AI‑enabled ways of working to balance global consistency with local compliance needs while improving employee and manager experience.

Ensure knowledge continuity and scalability through strong documentation, structured handovers, and capability building within the team.

Lead and coach a highly engaged, skilled team, fostering ownership, collaboration and a development‑oriented mindset.

Represent HR Operations in cross‑functional initiatives, audits, and internal improvement projects.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a leader who combines strong operational execution with a continuous improvement mindset:

Solid experience in HR Operations / HR Shared Services leadership, preferably in a multi‑country or global environment.

Ideally background as an HR Generalist, with hands‑on understanding of the full employee lifecycle.

Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to engage, develop, and retain high‑performing teams.

Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working in a matrix organisation with HRBPs, Finance, IT, payroll partners, and vendors.

Experience owning or closely working with an HRIS (Sympa or similar), including process design, reporting, and system improvements.

A passion for development, with the ability to simplify complexity and drive pragmatic improvements to our relatively new Shared Delivery approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex topics into clear structures and guidance.

Fluency in English.
