You are passionate about derivatives markets and are wondering how business and regulation interact in practice. You thrive in a complex, international environment and are looking for a role that combines intellectual challenge, strategic impact, and continuous learning.

Regulatory Development, as part of Derivatives Market Development at Eurex, shapes and advances Eurex’s regulatory positioning on key national, European and global regulatory initiatives impacting derivatives markets. The function ensures that regulatory developments affecting existing business and future strategic initiatives are identified, assessed, and proactively shaped to support Eurex’s commercial success.

The role coordinates Eurex positions on major legislative and regulatory topics (e.g. MiFIR/MiFID II, Retail Investment Strategy, Market Infrastructure Package, sustainable finance, prudential requirements etc.) in close cooperation with Eurex business areas, Deutsche Börse Group experts, market participants, and industry associations. Regulatory positioning is based on qualitative and quantitative analyses of regulatory proposals, market trends, competitive dynamics, and business model impacts. Regulatory Development also provides regulatory advisory support to Eurex business areas and strategic initiatives for deriving business and regulatory solutions as well as represents Eurex interests in industry associations and committees, and supports regulatory outreach towards regulators and legislators in alignment with Deutsche Börse Group. The function further ensures transparent and structured regulatory updates and decision material for the Eurex Board and senior management.

  Your responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate Eurex regulatory positioning by managing and consolidating responses to regulatory discussions, consultations, and legislative initiatives impacting derivatives markets and trading participants
  • Develop robust regulatory positioning content by orchestrating input from Eurex corporate functions, business areas, and Operations/IT, supported by qualitative and quantitative analysis of regulatory, market, and business impacts
  • Proactively analyze and assess regulatory opportunities with regard to strategic implications across stakeholders, business models, products, and geographical regions, identifying risks and opportunities for Eurex
  • Act as a regulatory advisor to Eurex business areas and strategic initiatives, supporting the translation of regulatory requirements into viable business
  • Represent and contribute Eurex regulatory views in  industry associations and committees (e.g. FESE, FIA) as well as group‑wide alignment processes coordinated by Deutsche Börse Group Regulatory Affairs
  • Support regulatory outreach and advocacy towards regulators and legislators in close cooperation with DBG Regulatory Affairs
  • Prepare and present regulatory updates, analyses, and decision material for the Eurex Executive Board, and relevant committees

Your profile
