The **Senior GL Accountant **position is based at Beckman Coulter Eurocenter SA, Switzerland and reports to the Accounting Manager.

In this role, you will have the following key responsibilities:

Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger
-
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, including preparation and review of balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations
-
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of US GAAP and Statutory Financial Statements
-
Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT filing to local authorities
-
Provide accurate and timely compliance activities as well as information for the preparation of direct and indirect Tax related filing to local authorities and transfer pricing policy
-
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of required statistics to local authorities
-
Support all kind of internal / external audits
The essential requirements of the job include:
-
3-6 years in accounting Shared Service Center and accounting experience within a multinational corporation
-
Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Experience in other European local GAAP, VAT or tax matters will be appreciated
-
Excellent English and French communication skills. Other additional European languages will be a plus
-
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
