We are seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Platform Architect to lead the design, governance, and implementation of enterprise-scale data platform solutions on Azure Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
This role requires a strong combination of strategic architecture capability and hands-on engineering expertise. The successful candidate will take ownership of the Databricks platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, automated, and aligned with enterprise cloud architecture standards.
Tasks

Design and implement enterprise-scale Azure Databricks platform architectures

Define and govern Databricks workspace structures, cluster policies, and operational workflows

Lead implementation of Unity Catalog governance models, permissions, lineage, auditability, and external locations

Establish secure Azure networking patterns including VNet injection, Private Link, and private endpoints

Implement identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC/ABAC, managed identities, service principals, and Key Vault integrations

Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD frameworks using Terraform/Bicep with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Ensure alignment with Microsoft Well-Architected principles and cloud governance standards

Drive platform automation, operational maturity, cost governance, and continuous improvement

Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate architecture decisions into practical implementation guidance

Experience with secure cloud networking patterns for enterprise data platforms

Solid Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD experience using Terraform or Bicep

Strong understanding of enterprise cloud governance and operational best practices

Ability to operate independently in consulting or fast-paced delivery environments
