Role Purpose
The E-commerce Market Lead (UK/US) is the strategic and operational engine for our clients presence in the world’s most competitive consumer markets. You are responsible for leading the "US/UK Squad" to drive growth, influence sales targets, and act as the direct bridge between the Venture team and US/UK stakeholders. You are a market expert who ensures the global strategy is localized and prioritized for maximum ROI in North America and the UK.
Why join Creative Dock
We are proud of our informal atmosphere. We maintain a flat structure and the working environment is shaped around project teams. We believe in career development. All that matters are your skills and desire to learn more. No diploma will ever secure you a place at Creative Dock.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Strategy & Sales Forecasting
-
Initiative Ownership: Proactively propose and lead US-only initiatives (e.g., local bundles, specific US campaigns) while aligning with overall country targets.
-
Forecasting: Provide regular feedback and data-backed forecasts on regional sales numbers; you have a direct influence on setting and hitting regional targets.
-
Localization: Adapt the roadmap to the unique scale of the US/UK markets, managing specific promotional cycles (Amazon events, US holidays like July 4th, Labor Day, etc.).
2. Squad Coordination (The "Project Manager" Role)
-
Functional Leadership: Lead a dedicated squad consisting of Performance, CRM, Platform, Creative, and Data specialists.
-
Prioritization: Own the "Market Backlog"—deciding which website features or marketing tactics the squad executes daily.
-
No People Management: You focus 100% on output and strategy. Career growth and HR administration for the squad are handled by Senior Chapter Leads (Guilds).
-
Creative Freedom: You and your squad have the authority to adapt or create new creative assets to ensure they resonate with the US/UK "tone of voice."
3. Stakeholder Management
-
Direct Connectivity: Serve as the primary point of contact for US/UK stakeholders. You are the "face" of the venture for these regions.
-
Collaboration: Work closely with other E-commerce Market Leads to ensure alignment across the global venture while fighting for your markets' priorities.
Must-Haves:
-
US Market DNA: You are either a US native (US Expats in Prague are highly preferred) or have** 5+ years of senior e-commerce experience specifically within the US market.**
-
Shifted Working Hours: Full commitment to a 5-day-a-week shifted schedule (e.g., 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM CET) to ensure overlap with the US team and the client US office.
-
E-commerce Expertise: Deep understanding of the US/UK digital landscape (Amazon, Shopify, US consumer psychology).
-
Coordinator Mindset: You enjoy being a "high-level generalist" who can steer specialists in Performance and CRM toward a common goal without needing to do the manual execution yourself.
Soft Skills:
-
Strategic Communicator: Comfortable presenting forecasts and feedback to C-level stakeholders.
-
Autonomous Leader: Able to drive a squad forward during evening hours when the European headquarters might be offline.
