Your role
As our
Energy Founders Associate, you will be a high impact generalist who combines deep energy expertise with the ability to execute across a wide range of strategic and operational topics. You'll sit at the intersection of energy product strategy, sales enablement, partner education, and cross-functional collaboration.
This is a role for someone with a lot of drive who wants to move fast, own topics end-to-end, and help shape how Cloover wins in the energy transition. If you thrive in ambiguity, bring genuine curiosity about energy, and want to make things happen, this is for you!
You'll report to our
Head of Energy and work across product, commercial, sales, and delivery from day one.
Your mission
Energy Strategy & Product- Execute the energy product strategy alongside the Head of Energy — contributing to product positioning, partner messaging, and market development across Germany and Austria.
- Collaborate across product, marketing, commercial operations, delivery, and sales support to ensure partner needs are met and commitments are fulfilled.
- Identify and act on automation and efficiency improvements within sales and partner communication flows, using HubSpot, AI workflows, and internal knowledge bases.
Sales Enablement & Partner Education- Act as the go-to energy expert for the sales team: step into complex installer conversations, close knowledge gaps, and take ownership of topics that require specialist-level depth.
- Consult directly with installation partners on dynamic tariffs, smart meter operation, §14a controllable energy consumers, pricing mechanics, and grid regulation — with the clarity to make complex regulation land in a one-on-one call.
- Activate and educate installer partners on Cloover Energy products, explaining how our dynamic tariff and HEMS create revenue opportunities for them and tangible value for end customers.
- Own the 30–40% of installer conversations that require specialist-level knowledge — explain regulatory requirements, pricing models, and technical configurations with clarity and confidence.
Knowledge & Content- Build and maintain the internal energy knowledge base — train the sales team, answer recurring questions, and raise the baseline energy IQ across the company.
- Create content where it's needed: partner-facing messaging, internal briefings, regulatory guides, FAQs, and quick-reference materials that the team actually uses.
- Represent Cloover at partner meetings and industry events, building credibility in the energy space with installers and strategic stakeholders.
Your profile
We care more about how you think and what you've built than where you've been. Here's what will set you up for success in this role:
- 1–2 years of professional experience inside the energy sector — utilities, energy retailers, network operators, aggregators, or energy startups. Not just adjacent to it.
- Working knowledge of dynamic electricity tariffs, smart meter operation, and §14a EnWG — and can explain these to an installer, not just understand them yourself.
- Switches comfortably between strategy, operations, content, and partner communication in the same week — a generalist who doesn't lose depth when context changes.
- Takes topics and pushes them forward without waiting to be asked — identifies what needs solving and moves.
- Communicates complex energy topics clearly across formats: a one-on-one call with an installer, a written regulatory guide, or an internal sales training.
- Follows regulatory developments and market changes because the subject is genuinely interesting — not because it's in the job description.
- Completed Master's degree in any field — we hire for intellect and drive, not credentials.
- German C2, English B2.
- Based in Berlin and energised by being in the room. We're intentionally office-first — decisions get made in real time, partner calls get debriefed over lunch, and the founding team is ten metres away. If that's how you thrive, you'll feel at home here.
Nice to have — but not required:
- Experience with virtual power plants, demand response, aggregator models, or grid balancing products.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM and sales automation tooling.
Don't meet every requirement? Apply anyway. We hire for potential and perspective — credentials are a starting point, not a ceiling.
How we hire
We keep things transparent and respect your time. Most go from first call to offer in under three weeks.
- Intro call (30 min) — We want to understand what you're looking for, not just screen your CV.
- Hiring manager interview (30 min) — We go deep: your experience, your thinking, how you approach problems.
- Case study (1 hour) — You get the brief in advance. We care about your approach — not whether you land on the right answer.
- Offer & signed contract.
