- **Analytical Measurements: **You perform routine sample measurements using a variety of analytical techniques, including but not limited to porosimetry measurements (BET, mercury intrusion), elemental analysis, and titration methods.
- **Instrument Calibration & Validation: **You calibrate analytical equipment and perform instrument validations in line with recommended schedules, ensuring reliable and reproducible data.
- **Troubleshooting & Maintenance: **You support troubleshooting activities and carry out routine maintenance of analytical instruments to ensure smooth lab operations.
- **Laboratory Operations & Improvements: **You maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace and actively contribute to implementing improvements in laboratory workflows and practices.
- **Documentation & SOPs: **You maintain accurate laboratory documentation, including SOPs, shutdown procedures, error logs, and other records related to laboratory activities.
- Equipment Installation & Modifications: You assist with the installation of new equipment and the modification of existing lab instrumentation.
- **Policies & Procedures: **You contribute to creating and updating laboratory policies and procedures related to daily operations.

**Health, Safety & Environment (EH&S): **You support EH&S responsibilities by conducting workplace risk assessments, creating and updating safety documentation, supporting audits, and contributing to the development of safety training.

Educational Background: You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field; candidates with laboratory technician apprenticeship training are also encouraged to apply. A background or strong interest in materials science or the carbon capture space is a plus.
