What you'll be doing
Lead software quality engineering activities within a fast-paced Agile development environment
Review product requirements and engineering specifications to define test strategies and scope test efforts
Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web, API, desktop, and mobile applications
Ensure test results are documented, reported, and clearly communicated to stakeholders, highlighting risks and quality issues
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to test engineers and less experienced team members
Collaborate closely with software engineers, quality engineering colleagues, and product teams to resolve issues identified during testing
Develop and maintain repeatable, high-quality test plans based on functional requirements, use cases, and system designs
Troubleshoot test failures across multiple environments, including analysis of logs and database queries
Conduct peer reviews of test cases and continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools
Ensure adherence to quality standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
7 years of experience in software quality engineering, including experience leading or mentoring teams
Strong experience working in Agile environments (such as Scrum or SAFe) and familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-based solutions
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and software testing techniques (functional, integration, system, regression)
Hands-on experience with test automation, scripting languages (such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby), and SQL
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools; Polarion experience is a plus
Experience with test automation tools and best practices; Katalon experience is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Knowledge of FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and cGxP is an advantage
