We are seeking a Publishing Production Officer with a background in scholarly publishing to work on the Open Research Europe (ORE) platform, soon to be hosted at CERN.
As part of a growing team, you will support the Production Manager in the management of the entire article production workflow, from pre-publication checks through final publication.
Your responsibilities

Contribute to the coordination of the full production workflow from pre-publication to final version.

Collaborate with Production Manager and Editorial Coordinator to ensure smooth editorial-to-production transition.

Communicate with external providers.

Contribute to the management of the article schedules, manuscript tracking (OJS), and author communications.

Maintain documentation, identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
Your profile
-
Maximum of 2 years聽experience in scholarly publishing or scholarly communication in general, with a focus on production, operational workflows, or editorial operations.

Hands-on experience with Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, including workflow configuration and management, is an advantage.

Experience with Publish-Review-Curate models is an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .

By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Publishing or related field (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
