Introduction
As an electromechanical technical engineer, you will engage in the major upgrades of the CMS experiment at CERN, leading modification and consolidation work on the infrastructure and electrical services for the CMS detector, both underground and on the surface of the experimental area. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of activities, from dismantling and decommissioning to the reinstallation of electronic racks, electrical distribution systems, cooling piping, power and signal cables, and building renovation. You will also have a coordination role within the CMS technical coordination team, defining needs and resources, placing orders, and closely supervising the work performed by technical service teams and subcontractors.
Functions

Supervise and follow up on the decommissioning and subsequent reinstallation of electronics and power racks in the underground area, coordinating different teams.

Manage infrastructure projects deployed progressively, including the installation of services such as power distribution, HVAC, and building renovation.

Take responsibility for the coordination and validation of infrastructure works in both the underground and surface experimental areas of the CMS experiment.

Organise the required technical support from central technical teams for each work package you lead.

Prepare and maintain field operation planning.

Perform day-to-day follow-up of site activities carried out by technical support teams and subcontractors.

Monitor work progress, report to CMS experiment management, and adjust plans and resources as required.

Support projects with logistical and operational assistance.

Act as the territorial safety officer for underground and/or surface buildings.
