You will join the Safety Training service within CERN's HSE Department, where you will design, develop and maintain engaging training materials, primarily in the form of e-learning courses, but also across other media such as videos, interactive content, and visual communication materials. You will work in close collaboration with a Training Specialist, who defines the learning strategies and objectives, and contribute to transforming training needs into effective and user-friendly learning solutions.
Your responsibilities

Develop and update e-learning modules and digital training materials, contributing to the structuring of training content and to the creation of engaging learning experiences.

Publish and maintain training content on CERN's Learning Management System (LMS), including testing and quality review of training materials and course setup.

Ensure proper documentation, versioning and organisation of produced materials.

Apply and contribute to corporate templates, design standards and good practices for digital learning.

Contribute to the monitoring of training activities by supporting the creation and update of reports and dashboards (e.g. using Power BI).

Collaborate with subject matter experts and support services (e.g. Design Office) to produce clear and consistent training and communication materials.

Support the management of digital learning tools and licences.

Use data and participant feedback to assess and enhance training quality, content and effectiveness.

Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance for HSE-related content.

Progressively develop autonomy in managing training projects.

Your profile

Demonstrated interest in digital learning, communication, or multimedia content development.

Initial experience or strong interest in e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline/Rise, iSpring, Synthesia).

Initial experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM is an asset.

Interest in Safety and technical topics in a scientific environment.
Skills

Strong digital and IT user skills, with the ability to quickly learn and use a variety of software tools (e.g. MS Forms, Power BI).

Notions of adult learning principles and instructional methods.

Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear and engaging content.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .

By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Education Sciences, Instructional Design (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
