In this role, you will be a member of the Web, DevOps and Authoring section in the IT-PW group. We provide, among others, services for software engineers such as the GitLab service and AI coding tools. By joining us, you will manage and contribute to the continuous improvement of these services, and support their users.
Your responsibilities:

Contribute to the smooth operation, maintenance, and continuous evolution of the GitLab service.

Identify, investigate and implement possible improvements and new functionality for the benefit of the user community.

Collaborate closely with development teams, providing support to integrate their applications with CI/CD pipelines, actively listening to their needs, troubleshooting issues, and providing clear, expert guidance on GitLab best practices to ensure a great user experience.

Provide modern AI coding tools to the CERN developers' community, support their users, and follow the evolution of technology and products in this exciting domain.

Your profile:

Experience with version control systems and CI/CD workflows.
-
Experience with container deployment and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes / OpenShift.
-
Experience with AI coding tools as a user (including agentic usage).
-
Experience with management of such solutions is a plus.

Previous experience with observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus.

Profiling and metrics analysis.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .

By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software or Computer Engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
