Working Student - Employee & Labor Relations

What's the role?

As an Employee and Labor Relations Working student, you will work closely with the Labor Relations(LR) Team, Business Stakeholders and Works Councils.

You will learn that Labor Relations is very diverse and exciting! It gives you a great insight into the current and future activities of our global technology company. No two days are the same and we will give you the opportunity to actively work on and learn from a variety of business and Labor Relations topics in an international environment.

 

The Team

 

The LR team is responsible for coordinating between the business and our work councils in France and Germany. We combine professionalism with fun at work amongst people that share the same ambition to support our business and employees the best way we can. But we are still missing your support to exactly do that! This role covers both, the administration and coordination of key Labor Relations activities that makes it is a unique opportunity to step into the field of Labor Relations in a fast-paced technology environment. 

 

We are looking for someone to join the team for at least 12 months.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for incoming labor relation queries/matters
• Respond to works council requests for information (in close alignment with the LR Specialist)
• Collaborate with other LR colleagues, HR and the business stakeholders to manage required information and consultation processes in Germany and France often related to the following topics: surveys, IT tool implementation, company policies, trainings.
• Managing the information or approval process with the German and France Works Councils
• Support the consultation of complex projects in cooperation with the Labor Relations Specialists and Manager
• Coordinate meetings and manage Labor Relations calendar
• Track and monitor Labor Relations projects and activities
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Labor Relations function (e.g., training and information sessions)
• Learn and support the role out of the LR function across the globe to support Employee Representation forums globally

Who are you?

 

• You are enrolled in a university  in Berlin/Brandenburg area and study preferably Law, Human Resources/Business Administration/Organizational Psychology or similar.
• You are interested in Labor Relations, a strong team player who enjoys a fast paced, evolving international environment.
• You would like to gain experience in working with Works Councils, Employee Representatives and people from different backgrounds all over the globe.

 

Moreover, you have...

• Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail
• Fluent in German and English
• Interested in investigating possibilities to upgrade efficiency and processes by introducing AI into the LR workspace
• Ability to build long-term relationships and put effort in earning trust
• Structured way of working, with a rigorous and detailed oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively in a global network and build the necessary rapport and relationships to be successful and to learn fast
• Experienced in MS Office
