**Your Role: **
As the Engineering Manager, your role is to oversee a team, developing in-house scalable data infrastructure and pipelines, guiding technical strategy, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.This role combines technical expertise with deep leadership skills, requiring the ability to mentor other leaders, guide strategic engineering decisions, and ensure timely delivery of projects while fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture. The Engineering Manager serves as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating strategic goals into executable plans while maintaining engineering excellence and team health.

As the Engineering Manager Sales Force Automation (SFA), your role is to oversee a team, developing in-house products, guiding technical strategy, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will need to understand the business needs, and work with business stakeholders. You will help Product Architect(s) to convert those needs into solution architecture specifications and services in line with overall engineering standards and roadmaps. You drive excellence in software engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle in our E-Business landscape, contributing to HEINEKEN International’s Evergreen strategy. You own the technology development and operations of given scope, including full budget responsibility, drive people development agenda, etc. As Senior Engineering Manager SFA you will take responsibility for an area where we have heavy Operating Company (OpCo) solutions live, and we need to maintain these existing OpCo solutions and build our technology future (re-architecture).
**Your responsibilities would include: **

Lead the transition of our existing Sales Force Automation (SFA) technology to our future tech stack, including enabling the transition paths for our existing live OpCos.

Own the Software Development Engineering (SDE) organization that delivers tooling for our Salesforce.

Lead a team of experienced SDE Leads, and their SDEs Teams in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, reliable, and high performing software solutions.

Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop top software engineering talents, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement – across different cultural backgrounds.

Drive operational excellence, including code reviews, design reviews, testing, and deployment processes, to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Elevate the Engineering build / ship mindset at HEINEKEN.

Overseeing team spirit, performance and responsibility for key hiring decisions.

Bring Software Engineering best practices to the team, including DevOps and Platform mindsets

Coordinate software development and address technical debt.

Continue driving best practices - Manage team budgets, including negotiating with local technology teams on budget for new implementations of sales tooling, manage OpEx costs and ensure our existing implementations are cost effective.
You are a good candidate if you have:

Get energized from daily new challenges across tech, business, stakeholders, etc.

Have 8+ years of experience as an engineering manager, with a hands-on mindset and strong personality.

Wants to ship code daily - Believe in headless architecture setups and the composable MACH software movement.

Ability to work within set Enterprise Architecture guidance and boundaries.

Have demonstrated experience in leading multiple teams of SDE Leads, and SDEs (ICs).

Have in-depth knowledge of and experience (> 8yrs) in modern frontend technology, and related Backend systems / services, like serverless Azure Functions

Have worked in modular architecture, microservices, micro frontends, etc.

Are a performance tuning expert, to maximize entire stack and edges.

Are proficient in heavy stakeholder engagement.

Manage both outsourced / insourced teams.

Pragmatic, and collaborative team player.
