Your Responsibilities:

• You lead, coach, and develop the Operational and Strategic Procurement Team, ensuring effective collaboration and continuous performance improvement.

• You plan, manage, and continuously optimize material flows and inventory levels to ensure high supply reliability and availability.

• You are responsible for the qualification of new suppliers, the ongoing development of existing supplier relationships, and the preparation and execution of supplier negotiations in close cooperation with your team.

• You identify cost‑saving opportunities and initiate measures to reduce complexity, such as make‑or‑buy decisions or outsourcing initiatives. In addition, you standardize processes and tools in line with corporate guidelines and actively drive the digitalization of procurement processes within the SAP landscape, including contract standardization and the expansion of framework agreements.

• You define and further develop the procurement strategy together with key stakeholders, optimize sourcing concepts, and establish efficient standards to continuously improve operational procurement processes.

• You assess international procurement markets, identify new sourcing opportunities and suppliers, and build stable, resilient supply chains. At the same time, you analyze and further refine purchasing and supplier strategies.

• You actively foster cross‑functional collaboration, ensure effective interface management across departments, and contribute to strong internal alignment.

Your Profile:

• Successfully completed degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering, ideally as an Industrial Engineer. Alternatively, you bring solid professional experience based on vocational training as an Industrial Clerk or a comparable technical qualification.

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in operational procurement, ideally also in strategic procurement, preferably in mechanical or plant engineering.

• Proven experience in leading and developing large, partially decentralized teams, including indirect leadership.

• Strong experience in working within complex matrix organizations.

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Very good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and common procurement tools.
