Full Job Description I Notes:
Key Responsibilities: The Accountant / Accountant provides financial information to management researching accounting data and preparing reports
Typical activities and responsibilities will include:

Responsibility for the Accounts payable process, including invoice control, booking of invoices and payments via embanking and Swift

Management and monitoring of specific internal accounts such as fixed assets, general expenses, depreciation, accruals, pre-payments (including budget vs. actual comparison and IT cost reconciliation)

Status monitoring of the Bank's Service Level Agreements (SLA), including validation and payment of invoices

Preparation of selected Group reports and uploading to the bank's shared portal (e.g. fixed assets, deposits, audit, etc.)
Assistance in preparing VAT and regulatory reports to the regulator (e.g. Swiss Federal Tax authority, Swiss National Bank, FINMA)
- Collaboration in various Finance projects
Education: Commercial apprenticeship, degree t e.g._ Buchhalter, Treuhänder or comparable education such as completed studies in economics.
Work Experience: Working experience of at least 2-3 years in the Finance area, preferably in a banking environment with international operations
Performance: Internal candidates: consistent strong performer in current role (Upper L or Expected Performance + at least 2 times in the past 3 cycles).
Specific knowledge and skills:

Good knowledge of accounting

Basic knowledge of banking

Good knowledge of English, German and/or Portuguese would be an advantage

Experience with Regulatory and VAT reporting would be an advantage
