The Advanced Fixed Income team of Allianz Global Investors is offering 12-month working student positions starting as soon as possible. We are looking for forward-thinking and results-oriented Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. students (f/m/d) with excellent programming skills.

 

This position will be based in our Frankfurt office.

 

What you will do

 

• Actively support the Advanced Fixed Income team and its portfolio managers in their daily tasks
• Leverage your technical and data analysis skills to develop state-of-the-art tools and models to help improve and streamline investment processes
• Contribute to the development & optimization of investment processes
• Assist in the data value chain (improve existing tools to gather new data, clean and structure data, create descriptive statistics, analyse data, use data as model inputs)
• Develop frontend tools e.g. web applications to help automate investment processes
• Improve performance of existing tools.

 

What you bring

 

• Bachelor, Master or PhD student in a quantitative and/or analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics)
• Good knowledge and practical experience in using Python, SQL, or equivalent
• Being data driven and programming affine
• Basic familiarity with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm is useful but not necessary; willingness to learn is a must
• Interest in understanding financial markets and financial data
• Very good English (at least C1) communication skills
• You are organized, self-motivated and able to work independently with high reliability
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment as a team player
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
