Avery Dennison is looking for a Procurement Category Lead Films EMENA to join our Labels and Packaging Materials (LPM) Procurement team. This is a key role with responsibility for developing and aligning the strategic direction for our Filmic materials in Europe while managing a critical portfolio of products and vendors. In this role you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating commercial terms, implementing procurement agreements, as well as introducing new suppliers and products to support innovation, sustainability and financial targets across the region. You will drive competitive advantage by optimizing the end-to-end value chain and making data-driven decisions based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), ensuring long-term profitability and operational resilience. Key performance indicators include inflation or deflation financial reporting, free cash flow, supply assurance, cost improvements, quality, service, and innovation. Additionally, you will be part of a Global Film Procurement community where you will be an integral part of co-designing and executing multi-year strategic roadmaps for our Film portfolios across regions. The position will be located at our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest, the Netherlands, reporting to the “Director Procurement LPM EMENA” based in Oegstgeest as well. In this function you will also have one direct report.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact between all LPM functional teams (Research & Development, Supply Chain, etc.) and Procurement in order to develop and execute the strategic direction and yearly projects of the spend portfolio.

Work in partnership with the LPM Marketing organization and Global/European Procurement teams to translate market needs into multi-year roadmaps that deliver innovation, differentiation, and competitive advantage (through strategic sourcing, negotiations and vendor management).

Partner with R&D to identify and deliver cost savings opportunities, and to maintain a healthy pipeline of new materials and supplier capabilities.

Close collaboration with Supply Chain & Operations in order to guarantee raw materials availability and quality, while at the same time exploring opportunities to increase service value, and reducing business continuity risks.

Continuously scan and scout both the market and our existing supply base in order to assess our competitive position and facilitate supplier-driven innovation, bringing outside intelligence to our front-end organization.
