Job description
Want to make a difference?
As Senior Designer Circular Knit / Jersey & Sweat (all genders), you are responsible for the creative development of seasonal collections within your product group in the Women Design Team. Based on the overall creative direction, you translate trends, consumer insights, and our brand DNA into relevant, commercially strong, and responsibly developed designs.
You ensure that ARMEDANGELS’ aesthetic and sustainability standards are consistently reflected in the categories Circular Knit / Jersey & Sweat. Working closely with Product Management, Garment Tech, Buying, and other cross-functional partners, you help bring cohesive collections to life on time and in line with our goals.
Who we are...
Since 2007, ARMEDANGELS has proven that fashion can be done differently: innovative, timeless, and produced according to responsible standards for people and planet. No wage slavery. No harmful chemicals. No cheap mass production.
What started as a small T-shirt initiative supporting social projects has grown into one of Europe’s leading sustainable lifestyle brands. With a team of 180 people and four collections per year, we demonstrate that responsibility and great product design go hand in hand.
What is the job about?
Design Execution & Seasonal Direction
You interpret the seasonal creative direction and translate it into strong concepts for Circular Knit / Jersey & Sweat. This includes developing mood boards, key shapes, colour palettes, and selecting materials aligned with our brand DNA.
You ensure your designs reflect pricing strategy, sustainability goals, and commercial targets alike. You take full accountability for the design milestones of your assigned categories.
Product & Collection Development
You manage the design process for defined categories from concept to handover. This includes seasonal sketches, preparation of tech pack handovers, and maintaining relevant development documentation.
Together with Product Management, you balance NOS, fashion, and capsule styles while selecting fabrics, trims, and details in line with category strategy, quality standards, and sustainability requirements. In close collaboration with Garment Technicians and Quality, you help ensure fit, construction, and product integrity.
3D Design & Digital Development Workflow
You lead the implementation of 3D workflows within your categories and ensure high-quality digital prototypes that meet our brand and fit standards.
You support the translation of concepts into advanced 3D garments and validate construction, materials, and fit together with Product and Technical teams. At the same time, you use 3D as a strategic lever to reduce sampling, shorten development timelines, and improve sustainability impact.
Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration
You communicate with suppliers during development and sampling stages and work closely with Product Management, Tech, and Supply Chain to align timelines and deliverables.
You also support Marketing with creative input for campaigns and storytelling tools. You ensure that design updates and documentation are accurately maintained in PLM and relevant systems.
Team Contribution & Culture
You actively contribute to team research, innovation, and aesthetic development. You share trend insights, sustainable innovations, and creative inspiration within the design team and provide informal mentoring to junior designers when needed.
In doing so, you uphold and represent ARMEDANGELS’ design values and purpose-driven mission in your daily work.
