Job Title: Lead Automation Engineer - Senior
Location: Remote / Asturias, Spain (partially remote until 2026/2027)

Overview:
Join a cutting-edge project to develop a state-of-the-art factory producing sustainable, high-performance battery materials for electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the automation team in designing, installing, testing, and commissioning factory systems.

Ensure seamless integration with other engineering disciplines.

Develop maintenance and reliability programs for automation systems.

Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.

Ensure compliance with industry, safety, and environmental standards.

Provide technical support during equipment procurement.
Requirements:
Technical: Master’s in Automation/Electrical Engineering or related field, 7+ years in automation, expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial tools.
Non-Technical: Strong leadership and project management, fluent in Spanish and English, structured and proactive approach.
Certifications: Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience; SCC/VCA certification required.
Details:
Contract: Long-term (initially until 2025).
Travel: Up to 10% (mainly within Spain and internationally).
Rate: Market-competitive (all-in).
Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered).
