Senior Integration Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Description

Integration Development & Implementation:

• Design, develop, and implement robust integration solutions between various applications, services, and platforms.
• Lead and participate in the development of APIs, messaging systems, and data transformation processes to ensure seamless system communication.
• Build custom connectors, workflows, and middleware solutions for integrating third-party and in-house systems.

Integration Frameworks & Tools:

• Utilize integration tools and platforms such as Azure iPaaS, Apache Camel, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Talend, IBM Integration Bus, or similar to design and implement integration solutions.
• Set up and manage ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) solutions to streamline data flow across systems.
• Optimize and manage cloud-based and on-premises integration platforms.

Solution Architecture:

• Ensure that integration designs comply with best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines.
• Work closely with teams to define integration architecture strategies and governance models.

Data Management & Transformation:

• Develop and maintain data mapping, transformation, and validation processes between applications.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolutions.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Partner with development, infrastructure, and business teams to understand integration needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Act as a point of contact for any integration-related technical issues or inquiries.

System Maintenance & Support:

• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
• Document integration processes, frameworks, and solutions to maintain system transparency and ensure knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

Technical Proficiency:

• Proven hands-on experience in implementing Azure iPaaS integration frameworks. Such as:
  
  • Azure Logic Apps: Experience in designing and implementing workflows using Azure Logic Apps.
  • Azure Service Bus: Proficiency in setting up and managing Azure Service Bus for messaging and communication between applications.
  • Azure API Management: Knowledge of configuring and managing APIs using Azure API Management.
  • Azure Functions: Experience in developing serverless functions using Azure Functions for integration tasks.
  • Azure Data Factory: Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for data integration and ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of API design and development (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
• Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Familiarity with cloud-based Azure integration services.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and integration-related programming (Java, C#, etc.).
• Experience with database technologies, including PLSQL, MSSQL and NoSQL, as they relate to integration tasks.
  
  

Project Management & Communication:

• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple integration projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into non-technical terms for stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully managing integration challenges in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.
  
  

Other Desirable Experience:

• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for automated integration testing.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) as it pertains to integration.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA), and security best practices related to system integration.
  
  
  

Your Profile:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 7-10 years of professional experience in system integration, software development, or a related field, with a focus on enterprise-level projects.
• Certifications in relevant integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer/Architect, Dell Boomi Certified Developer, IBM Certified Integration Architect) or equivalent experience with other industry-standard integration tools.
• Additional certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker) are a plus. Master's degree in Computer Science/IT, or related with 7+ years’ experience as BI developer with Power BI
• Full life-cycle implementation experience: Requirements gathering, conception & design, development, implementation, deployment and driving user adoption
• Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
