R&D HW Technician (m/f/d)

Job Description

• Conduct predefined electrical and mechanical measurements on prototypes and trial boards.
• Take care of soldering and rework of various hardware prototypes.
• Support prototype builds, bring-up, and basic functional testing.
• Provide technical support to designers and R&D engineers.
• Identify, document, and track design or production issues.
• Coordinate with internal departments (hardware, production, quality) and external suppliers.
• Support component selection, availability checks, and alternative part selection.
• Support engineering change processes and version control.
• Support cable qualifications by conducting measurements and documenting results.
• Buildup and repair of High-Level Assembly prototypes and beta series.
• Order and manage R&D hardware components and consumables.

Qualifications

• Technical education or training in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills
• Basic understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of electronic components and datasheets.
• Basic Linux and office software know how.
• Structured, detail-oriented and hands-on working style.
• Business fluent German and fluent English skills.
• Self-motivated, team and solution-oriented mind set.
