Legal Counsel - Technology and Commercial (m/f/d)

Job Description

• Providing legal advice to Advantest’s European subsidiaries, with a focus on software including open source software, data, product cybersecurity law, as well as product and contract law. Knowledge of AI is a plus.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating globally applicable national and international contracts - particularly licensing, software, service, and other technology-related agreements - in close collaboration with the R&D and other departments.
• Providing support on legal issues related to the use of product and service data, as well as regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of new European regulations.
• Identifying, analyzing, and developing practical solutions to complex legal issues with a balanced approach to risk and solutions.
• Drafting, refining, and maintaining contract templates and product-specific terms and conditions.
• Conducting legal training sessions for business departments and executives.

Qualifications

• Completion of Second State Examination in Law (Volljurist) or a comparable qualification (e.g. LL.M.)
• Several years of relevant professional experience in an international company or an internationally oriented law firm specializing in business law
• International legal experience and/or education is an advantage
• Fluency in spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement
• Very good proficiency in MS Office
