Deutschlandticket

A €49/month ticket covering all local and regional public transport across Germany.

The Deutschlandticket (also called D-Ticket or 49-Euro-Ticket) is a monthly subscription covering all local and regional public transport across Germany for €49/month.

What it covers:

  • All buses, trams, U-Bahn, and S-Bahn
  • Regional trains (RE, RB)
  • Valid across all German states and cities

What it does NOT cover:

  • Long-distance trains (ICE, IC, EC)
  • First class
  • International routes

It is one of the best public transport deals in Europe. Many employers offer a Deutschlandticket subsidy as a benefit, reducing the cost to €0-25/month.

You can purchase it through your local transport provider's app or website. It is a monthly subscription — cancel anytime by the 10th of the month.
