Your mission
VÆRIDION is a pioneering electric aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) dedicated to revolutionizing regional air mobility and sustainable aviation. We are committed to designing and producing cutting-edge electric conventional take-off and landing (eCTOL) aircraft that provide safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
As a
Senior Electrical Integration Engineer - Electro-Mechanical (all genders), you will play a key role in the development of VÆRIDION’s propulsion battery system. You will be responsible for the physical integration of electrical elements into mechanical hardware, ensuring robust, manufacturable, and certifiable electro-mechanical solutions.
You will work closely with mechanical, BMS, high-voltage, and systems engineering teams to ensure that electrical routing, interfaces, and installation concepts are fully aligned with structural, thermal, and certification requirements.
Your Day-to-Day
- Lead the integration of electrical components such as cables, harnesses, connectors, feedthroughs, and grounding features into mechanical assemblies.
- Review and assess 3D CAD designs with respect to electro-mechanical integration, including routing, clearances, accessibility, and serviceability.
- Define and apply design rules for cable routing, bend radii, strain relief, clamping, and mechanical protection for both HV and LV systems.
- Collaborate with BMS and HV distribution engineers to implement grounding, bonding, shielding, and EMC-relevant mechanical features.
- Support the definition of installation, assembly, and maintenance concepts to ensure safe and repeatable handling of electrical hardware.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and drive resolution of integration issues prior to design freeze.
- Support verification and validation activities (e.g. vibration, shock, environmental testing) from an electro-mechanical integration perspective.
- Contribute to technical documentation, interface definitions, and certification-relevant design evidence in accordance with aerospace development and configuration control practices.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in electro-mechanical integration, ideally within aerospace, aviation, or another safety-critical industry.
- Strong understanding of cable harness integration, connector systems, grounding and bonding concepts, and mechanical protection of electrical components.
- Proven experience reviewing and working with 3D CAD models (e.g. CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
- Familiarity with high-voltage systems and aerospace integration constraints is a strong plus.
- Comfortable representing electro-mechanical integration topics in design reviews and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Structured, detail-oriented working style with a strong sense of technical ownership.
- Fluent in English; German skills are a plus.
