Job Overview

Join us in modernizing our core indexing platform — a business-critical system built on a robust Java-based microservices architecture. From day one, you will actively contribute to strengthening the technical foundation of the large-scale production system.

Your Tasks

• Supporting the modernization of our Java microservices stack.

• Reducing and consolidating dependencies to keep the platform lean and maintainable.

• Evaluating and replacing outdated libraries with better alternatives.

• Improving Maven dependency management and build hygiene.

• Contributing to code quality and test coverage.

• Working closely with experienced engineers on architectural and refactoring topics.

Your Profile

• Enrolled student at a university (this is Berlin-based working student position).

• Solid Java programming fundamentals.

• Basic knowledge of unit testing (JUnit, Mockito).

• Familiarity with Git version control.

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation.

• Structured and careful working style.
