HR Process and Project Specialist acts as a subject-matter expert and quality anchor for end-to-end HR processes & projects for the German market, combining advanced operational delivery with mentoring, process optimisation and stakeholder support.
This role will require occasional travel to our EU offices, usually ranging from one to two weeks, a few times per year.
What You will be doing:
Operational
- Independently handle complex HR cases across the full employee lifecycle
- Act as escalation point for operational issues, payroll discrepancies and compliance questions
- Ensure high quality and consistency of HR data and payroll inputs
Process & quality:
- Actively contribute to the creation, review and continuous improvement of SOPs and work instructions across all HR streams
- Ensure SOPs reflect real operational practice, not only theoretical process design
- Support implementation of process changes and new solutions
Knowledge & people enablement:
- Mentor and support HR Specialists (knowledge sharing, shadowing, quality feedback)
- Drive knowledge transfer within the team and across streams
- Ensure process knowledge is documented, accessible and up to date
Cross-stream collaboration:
- Work closely with other streams to ensure seamless hire-to-retire delivery
- Support backup coverage and cross-training initiatives
- Promote an end-to-end mindset rather than stream-specific ownership
Compliance & stakeholder management:
- Apply advanced knowledge of German labour law and internal policies
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders (HR People Partners, Payroll, local entities, 3rd parties)
Essential Requirements:
- Several years of experience in HR operations for the German market
- German at C1 level (professional fluency)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and payroll dependencies
- Ability to think in processes, not only tasks
- Coaching mindset and accountability for quality beyond own workload
- An experience with Global HRIS platforms (preferably Workday or SAP) and Case Management tools (ServiceNow or other)
