Why we are looking for support
We’re looking for a structured and proactive Working Student to support our Operations team as we scale. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain the systems, workflows, and processes that keep our business running efficiently, from automation and tooling to reporting and data quality.
You’ll work across functions to bridge the gap between planning and execution. That means ensuring processes are streamlined, data is reliable, and tools work as intended. If something can be automated, we want it automated. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute directly to the operational backbone that supports our delivery and commercial teams as we expand internationally.
Your tasks
- Build, maintain, and improve automation workflows using tools like n8n, Make.com, or similar across finance, People & Culture, and other operational areas
- Administer and maintain our tool stack (e.g. Google Workspace, Odoo): manage user access, configurations, integrations, and troubleshooting
- Ensure high data quality across systems: track, clean, and structure operational data so reporting reflects reality
- Create and maintain reporting templates and dashboards in Google Sheets (e.g. utilisation, headcount, operational KPIs)
- Support the monthly financial close cycle by ensuring data completeness and accuracy (e.g. time tracking, project data validation)
- Maintain and improve our cybersecurity hygiene (access control, password management, updates, internal compliance)
- Document processes clearly and keep documentation up to date as systems evolve
- Support onboarding of external partners and contractors (contracts, tool access, compliance checklists)
- Identify inefficiencies and proactively suggest improvements, especially where automation can replace manual work
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in automation tools (n8n, Make.com, Zapier, etc.), you’re curious and enjoy figuring things out
- Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable, you take ownership and follow through
- Strong awareness for data quality, you notice inconsistencies and resolve them
- Basic scripting skills (e.g. Google Apps Script, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Proactive and self-driven, you don’t need to be told twice
- Comfortable communicating in both English and German
Nice to Have
- Experience with PSA or project management tools (e.g. Forecast, Jira)
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- Experience with HR tools like Personio
- Interest in consulting, professional services, or SaaS business models
