About the Role
As our business continues to expand internationally and evolve in sophistication—across areas such as advertising, business travel, and AI-driven products—the complexity of our financial reporting environment is increasing significantly.
The Head of Group Accounting and Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting across a growing number of entities, systems, and revenue streams. Beyond delivering high-quality consolidated financial statements, this role will drive the evolution of our group reporting processes, strengthen controls, and ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAPs in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Working closely with the VP Finance and senior stakeholders, you will help shape a robust and future-proof reporting framework that supports strategic decision-making, new business models, and continued international growth.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Lead the preparation and delivery of annual external reporting, including footnotes and checklists under IFRS, UK GAAP, and German GAAP
- Own relationships with internal and external auditors for group reporting and consolidation topics
- Research and implement new accounting standards and assess their impact on the business
- Advise senior management on the interpretation and application of IFRS standards
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, manuals, and position papers
- Manage external accounting providers and ensure timely and accurate reporting across entities
- Provide technical accounting support on complex topics (e.g. revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, capitalisation)
- Support strategic initiatives such as acquisitions or new business models from a group reporting perspective
- Strengthen and document controls across financial reporting and group accounting
- Drive improvements and scalability in reporting processes, systems, and tools
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of group reporting in a business that is scaling rapidly in both geographic footprint and product complexity. You will operate at the intersection of accounting, systems, and business evolution—helping to build a reporting function that can support new revenue streams, international expansion, and increasing operational sophistication.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring the financial foundations of the business are robust, scalable, and ready for the next phase of growth.
