The Head of Delivery Operations is a DACH role that is responsible for:

DACH Global Delivery Operations
The Head of Delivery Operations leads a team of Operations Managers, Workforce Managers and GD Operations Specialists to define, implement and monitor a DACH approach to delivery operations and with this support DACH management and the practices in achievement of their goals. In alignment with DACH and Practice management, Delivery Operations initiates counter measures in case the monitoring shows deviations from budget. The Head of Delivery Operations is responsible for people development of the team, including hiring, performance management, development and succession planning. The Head of Delivery Operations closely works with the Head of Delivery Management for service delivery governance, quality, risk and red project handling.
The Head of Delivery Operations oversees the following tasks and responsibilities:

DACH Practice Operations Management

Align and streamline DACH delivery processes, tools (e.g. time booking, resource management) and reporting cross Legal Entities and cross Practices to allow data driven insights and forecasting.

Monitor financial performance and operational excellence along standard KPIs (e.g. margin, utilization, availability) and initiate counter measures where necessary.

Continuous improvement of operational excellence (standardization, automation / AI in operations, reduction of manual reporting, …)

Support budget and forecast planning.

DACH Workforce Management
-
Allocating skilled resources across projects.

Support workforce planning, capacity and capability development for DACH.

Ensuring teams have the tools and training required for workforce management.

DACH Global Delivery
-
Transition Global Delivery to global Target Operating Model

Support Practices with GD Operations in handling of operative delivery tasks related of global delivery centers and global delivery partners.
Skillset required:
-
Multi-years (>10) experience in project- and business roles in IT Services business
-
Multi-years (>5) experience in operations management for large delivery organizations
-
Advanced business acumen, including P&L logic and strategic decision-making.

Deep understanding of IT services economics (project, managed services, subscriptions, global delivery)
-
Ability to translate strategic growth and portfolio objectives into operational steering models, KPIs, and targets
-
Strong understanding of IT service portfolios (e.g. Application Services, Cloud, AMS, Platform Operations)
-
Able to communicate confidently at executive and board level on operational performance and risks
-
Comfortable leading through organizational complexity and continuous change
-
Strong orientation toward management reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics
-
Experience driving shoring strategies (onshore / nearshore / offshore) and global service integration
