Senior Software Engineer (Python & AWS) (F/M/D)

THE OPPORTUNITY

Imagine diving into the development of the software and components that run our cloud processing platform while serving customers worldwide.  

 You will join the Cloud Processing Team within the Mapping and Perception department and collaborate closely with people from a diverse set of cultural and professional backgrounds, who share a passion for delivering top-class mapping solutions that aim to digitize physical spaces through the creation of photorealistic digital twins. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Complete ownership of the design, implementation and testing of cloud applications at NavVis    

• Deeply involved in the monitoring, operation, and debugging of cloud applications on Amazon's AWS platform   

• Design and deploy data extraction pipelines  

• Build dashboards from application monitoring data  

• Set up alerts, define thresholds and service quality gateways    

• Contribute significantly to the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for our AWS cloud applications   

• Enjoy collaborating with the operational and software engineering teams  

 

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development in multi-language, multi-system environments. 

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying cloud applications on AWS, with strong knowledge of: 

• • Lambda, Batch, ECS & Step Functions
  • IAM, SQS, CloudWatch & DynamoDB
  • API Gateway, EventBridge, Glue & Athena
  • SAM & CloudFormation

• Proficiency in Python for backend development and scripting.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar. 

• Experience deploying and running software at scale, including familiarity with debugging, monitoring tools, and profilers.
