Job description

Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next-generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real-world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.

At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.

We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Apply now to join our team and be part of something bigger than yourself — where collaboration, creativity, and purpose come together to build the technologies that will define the next century.

At Lyten Poland, we develop technologies that redefine how the world stores and uses energy. Our battery systems combine advanced engineering, safety, and an uncompromising focus on quality - that mission depends just as much on strong financial foundations as on breakthrough engineering.

We’re looking for a General Ledger Accountant who brings accuracy, ownership, and curiosity to the numbers behind the innovation.

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for core accounting activities that ensure the integrity of the general ledger and the accuracy of financial reporting. You’ll play a critical role in supporting the monthly close process and maintaining compliance with accounting standards in a fast-growing, high-impact environment.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, working closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional partners to keep our financial operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and post journal entries with proper documentation and accurate account coding

  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets

  • Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger, record additions and disposals, and calculate monthly depreciation

  • Month-End Close: Support the Accounting Manager in executing timely and accurate month-end close procedures

  • Audit Support: Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Minimum 2 years of General Ledger accounting experience, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment

  • Foundational knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS

Qualifications & experience

  • Progress toward CPA or similar professional certification is highly desirable

  • Experience working with a major ERP system

  • Experience preparing multi-state or international tax schedules is a plus

Skills

  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)

  • Ability to interpret and apply technical accounting guidance accurately and thoughtfully

What makes you successful at Lyten

  • Detail-oriented, structured, and quality-driven

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment

  • Proactive, accountable, and eager to take ownership

  • Purpose-driven and motivated by building something that matters

Min. salary for this position starts with 10 000 PLN gross
