JOB DESCRIPTION
IGTP is looking for an Innovation Project Manager to join the Research Group onInnovation, Health Economics and Digital Transformation. The selected candidate willcontribute to CarePath, a European research and innovation project funded by theInnovative Health Initiative Joint Undertaking (IHI JU) under Grant Agreement No.101132984. The Joint Undertaking is supported by the European Union’s HorizonEurope research and innovation programme together with COCIR, EFPIA, EuropaBio,MedTech Europe, and Vaccines Europe.
CarePath aims to support people living with long-term health conditions in managing their treatment effectively, comfortably, and in a way that is adapted to their everyday lives. By developing personalised tools and resources, the project seeks to improve health, wellbeing, and quality of life. CarePath focuses on three major long-term conditions—obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
The selected candidate will work closely with the hospital’s innovation team and the broader consortium to contribute to the implementation of project activities and to ensure the proper execution of the tasks and deliverables linked to IGTP’s role in the project.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing IGTP’s
contribution to the CarePath project, ensuring the successful execution of tasks,
alignment with project objectives, and effective collaboration with internal and external
stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include:
- Act as the main liaison between IGTP, the hospital’s innovation unit, and project partners to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment on project activities and deliverables.
- Coordinate and oversee IGTP’s contribution to Work Package 1, supporting the hospital’s role in the development of the project’s Knowledge Hub by assessing and compiling evidence, insights, and best practices from interventions aimed at improving treatment adherence and persistence, and by identifying barriers, opportunities, and implementation strategies.
- Contribute to Work Package 2 by coordinating the hospital’s involvement in User-Centred Research activities aimed at understanding why some people do not initiate, follow, or persist with treatment, and how digital and non-digital tools may better support them.
- Support the design, setup, and oversight of studies and fieldwork activities, including protocol development, coordination with clinical teams, patient recruitment processes, interview and focus group logistics, and data collection procedures.
- Facilitate the engagement of key stakeholders, including clinicians, technical staff, researchers, and patients, with particular attention to the inclusion of hardto-reach populations and ethnic minority groups where relevant.
- Ensure that insights generated through stakeholder engagement and qualitative research are appropriately captured and translated into actionable inputs for the development of practical support tools in subsequent project phases.
- Monitor project milestones, timelines, and budget related to IGTP’s role, proactively identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies when needed.
- Contribute to dissemination and communication activities, including presentations, reports, project documentation, and scientific or professional communications highlighting the hospital’s contribution to CarePath.
- Ensure effective internal communication across the departments involved in the project and promote knowledge sharing to strengthen innovation capacity within the organisation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
The candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Formally trained in a healthcare or life-sciences-related discipline (biology, biomedicine, biotechnology, bioenginyeeering, etc.)
- Trained to Master level
The following requirements are mandatory:
- Experience leading and managing innovation projects
- Experience working with ISO 56001 standard
- Experience working in the Catalan healthcare system
- Experience working in consortium projects
- Knowledge of innovation future trends
- Strong English written and oral skills
WHAT WE OFFER
- 6-month IGTP contract, with a possibility of extension

- Date of incorporation 1st October 2026
- 31.500 € gross per year
- Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments
