Job Title: Channel Service Manager (m/f/d) – Solar (PV)


Job Location: Düsseldorf, Germany


Main Responsibilities:

The Channel Service Manager is responsible for managing and developing service partners within the photovoltaic (PV) ecosystem.

This role ensures high-quality service delivery, partner capability development, operational efficiency, and compliance with technical and regulatory standards.

  • Establish and continuously optimize the operational framework for service partners, including certification, authorization, and performance evaluation, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

  • Develop and implement partner capability frameworks, including talent development strategies and structured training programs, leveraging centralized enablement platforms.

  • Ensure that service partners meet all required quality, safety, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards during project execution, and drive continuous process improvement.

  • Drive installer engagement in certification and training programs through tailored policies and incentive mechanisms, enhancing partner performance, service quality, and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Evaluate service partner performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement plans to strengthen long-term partner capabilities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with service partners, providing structured guidance and support to develop them into high-performing, reliable channel partners.

Requirements:

Professional Knowledge

  • Fundamentals

- Basic understanding of physics, electrical engineering, and semiconductor principles relevant to photovoltaic systems.

  • Photovoltaic Technology

- Strong knowledge of PV systems, including photovoltaic modules, inverters, and energy storage systems (ESS), as well as their performance characteristics and applications.

  • Power & Energy Management

- Understanding of inverter technologies, grid connection requirements, and power system integration, including relevant standards and protection mechanisms.

- Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and service activities simultaneously.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage customer relationships, resolve issues, and align stakeholders.

- Experience or strong interest in evaluating partner performance and ensuring compliance with defined standards.

- Ability to support partner training and capability development initiatives.

Basic Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Languages: English (business fluent, negotiation level), additional European language(s) are a plus.

  • Other: Results-driven mindset with motivation to support market and partner development.

  • Technical Competency

- Understanding of PV systems, components, and operational principles.

- Ability to support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.

- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEC and local requirements).

- Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional and partner teams.

- Willingness to support mentoring and capability development.

- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.

  • Quality & Compliance

- Awareness of quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Ability to support audits and performance evaluations.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience or exposure to photovoltaic systems, electrical systems, or related technical environments.

  • Involvement in installation, commissioning, or technical support activities is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with supporting installers (on-site or remotely), troubleshooting, and escalation processes is a plus.

  • Experience collaborating with after-sales teams or partners and participating in technical or service-related initiatives.

  • Ability to gather feedback from partners or customers and contribute to process improvements.
