Your Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Programme Coordinator for Preparatory and Language Programmes to join our team. As the Programme Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our preparatory programmes, which are designed to help students bridge academic gaps and prepare them for success in their chosen undergraduate or graduate programmes.
You will serve as a point of contact for organizational issues and procedural questions related to the programs, exams, as well as the issuance of certificates and attestations.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
- Oversee administrative aspects of preparatory and language programmes.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure the delivery of programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results.
- Student Support and Guidance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students enrolled in preparatory and language programmes, providing academic advising, mentorship, and support as needed.
- Collaborate with student service departments to develop and implement support initiatives aimed at enhancing student success and retention.
- Conduct interviews with applicants.
- Organize and proctor exams and placement tests.
- Set up exams for FSP German
- Assist in the recruitment of lecturers
- Coordinate lecturers and staff.
- Monitoring attendances
- Prepare reports related to attendance and performance of students
- Sending attendance reminders
- Writing and updating Student Handbook
- Preparing and updating Presentations for the Induction Sessions
- Holding Induction sessions.
- Processing emails in the shared mailboxes
- Other related duties and projects
Your profile
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in German and English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Excellent knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- A high degree of initiative, organizational skills, teamwork, reliability, commitment, loyalty, and flexibility
- Completed vocational training or university degree or relevant practical experience in customer-oriented administration in higher education
- Experience with university management systems such as CampusNet desirable
- Knowledge of preparatory and language programmes, e.g. teaching experience in language courses, and/or experience in higher education administration
