Job description
Your Responsibilities
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead the marketing strategy and execution across all GGG institutions and the GGG brand itself. This is a critical senior leadership role with full responsibility for marketing performance, budget, team leadership, and brand positioning across multiple markets including Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, and the UAE.
At GGG, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of international higher education across multiple respected brands. You’ll lead a talented team and have the opportunity to make a real impact across global markets.
You will work in close partnership with the Director of Sales to deliver on annual enrolment targets and drive sustainable growth through best-in-class marketing strategies.
Strategic & Brand Leadership
- Develop and execute unified marketing strategies across all GGG institutions, aligned with business objectives and regional market dynamics
- Define and drive the positioning of each brand, including market entry strategies for new regions, programme launches, or campus openings
- Conduct competitive landscape analysis and use insights to shape product offerings and market positioning
Full-Funnel Marketing Ownership
- Oversee the entire marketing chain: from lead generation (via PPC, paid social, affiliate, organic channels) to content, social media, PR, design, and video production
- Ensure strong collaboration between marketing and performance teams to drive lead volume, quality, and conversion
Team Leadership
- Lead a distributed team of marketing professionals globally (Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, PR, Design, Video)
- Inspire and manage a high-performance team culture, with a strong focus on accountability, innovation, and execution
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key marketing contact for the CEO, COO, Sales, Admissions, Finance, and HR departments, ensuring tight cross-functional collaboration
- Represent marketing in board meetings, leadership events, and management conferences
Agency & Vendor Management
- Manage internal service providers within the central GUS team, including campaign execution, SEO, design, and copywriting services
Budget & Performance Oversight
- Own the full marketing budget across all brands and institutions — planning, monitoring, and adjusting spend based on performance
- Ensure efficient and effective use of budget in alignment with enrolment and growth objectives
Data-Driven Performance Management
- Track and report on all core marketing KPIs
Your profile
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 9 years in marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferrably within the educational sector in Germany/Europe
- Broad marketing expertise across core functions including brand, digital, content, demand generation, video, design & PR
Educational Background
- Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Market Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of the educational landscape, particularly private universities, and familiarity with the german market is advantageous
Digital Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including PPC, SEO, Google Analytics, CRM systems, and CMS
High KPI thinking ability
- Experienced in setting up business KPIs for the marketing teams and regions and reporting into the business; Strong budget ownership and commercial acumen
Leadership Abilities
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Exceptional stakeholder and vendor management skills
Analytical Skills
- Ability to analyse complex data, derive actionable insights, and adapt strategies accordingly
Language Skills
- Fluency English is essential; proficiency in German and/or Spanish is a plus
