AIT Main Engineer (m/f/d)

As a Mechanical Lead, it is your responsibility to ensure the timely, high-quality and cost-efficient execution of all assembly and handling activities in the factory, environmental test facilities and at the launch pad, in compliance with occupational safety regulations, technical specifications and customer requirements: Organization and Control of Mechanical Activities: - Planning, organizing and monitoring all assembly and handling activities - Workforce planning for assemblers, foremen and subcontractors Technical Responsibility: - Implementation of drawings, bills of materials and technical specifications - Clarification of technical details with design, project management and customers - Contribution to assembly concepts and processes Leadership and personnel: - Technical leadership of a work preparation team and an assembly team within a satellite project - Instruction and onboarding of new employees and external contractors - Motivation, guidance and performance evaluation of employees Project and Cost Control: - Monitoring schedules, assembly progress and costs - Reporting deviations, risks and additional costs to project management - Participation in change requests and technical modifications
