Bioprocess Production Intern (All Genders)

Your Role

• Maintain the workflow pipeline for the production process
• Perform basic laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, and prepare media and reagents for upstream fermentations in a production environment
• Support downstream processing methods and assist in setting up and maintaining pilot equipment and processes
• Assist with experimental setup, execution, data collection, and analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation
• Monitor and record data during experiments, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, process protocols, and batch records
• Write and update SOPs for processes and equipment where applicable.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Handle moderately heavy equipment, lift materials, and process products as needed.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of equipment
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the optimal performance of equipment

Your Profile

• Currently pursuing a Master in or related to Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioprocessing Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or Life science  
• Experience working with microorganisms and following GLP and aseptic techniques 
• Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as Microbiology Safety Cabinet, Centrifuge, Dead end filters, Benchtop fermenters, etc. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is required
• Experience in pilot or manufacturing environments is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting objects of 10-15 kg when necessary.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written 
• Must be able to work effectively in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and collaborate on interdisciplinary fermentation-related projects
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
