Role Overview

 

Allianz Services Transformation (CTO) serves as Allianz’s global Business Transformation Engine, operating across Munich, Bucharest, Trivandrum, Mauritius, and New York City. Within this organisation, Productivity Solutions & Innovation (PSI) leads the Group’s AI‑driven transformation, covering AI advisory, diagnostics through process and task mining, and rule‑based as well as agentic hyperautomation.

PSI is structured to deliver end‑to‑end AI productivity services. Our core capabilities include:

• AI Advisory & Transformation Management
• Innovation Screening & Testing
• Process Diagnostics using Process & Task Mining
• Low‑code / No‑code Automation
• Rule‑based Automation
• Multi‑agent Systems
• Organisational AI Enablement
• AI Project & Portfolio Management

In this leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of innovative AI and hyperautomation solutions, ensuring alignment with Group Standards and maximising value for Allianz entities. You will manage transformation initiatives end‑to‑end, from opportunity identification to solution design, rollout, and scaling

You will mentor teams, shape innovation portfolios, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the strategic direction of PSI. Experience in AI/ML environments, cloud technologies, or transformation functions is highly valuable, as are strong communication and presentation skills. German language skills (B1+) are beneficial for this Munich‑based role.

 

What you do

 

• Lead the design, delivery, and scaling of AI & Hyperautomation solutions.
• Manage transformation projects across Allianz entities, ensuring impact and alignment with Group Standards.
• Identify new opportunities for automation, GenAI, and diagnostic solutions; shape and prioritise the innovation pipeline.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams and ensure high‑quality execution across technical and business workstreams.
• Drive process optimisation initiatives through process/task mining insights.
• Present strategic recommendations, communicate progress, and manage stakeholder expectations at senior levels.
• Promote innovation, right‑shoring, and best‑practice sharing across the Group.

 

What you bring

 

• Strong academic background; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Proven experience in AI, ML Ops, digital transformation, or similar fields.
• Experience in insurance or high‑tech environments is an advantage.
• Agile/ Scrum, Cloud, AI, or GenAI certifications highly valued.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• German and / French language skills (B1+) desirable.
