As a Junior Project Manager, you will be joining a highly motivated and proactive team, working on multidisciplinary projects delivered across several geographies for public-sector, institutional, U.S. Government, and defense-sector clients. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their project management career who wants exposure to international projects, senior professionals, structured project delivery, and the full project life cycle.
You will work with Project Managers, Project Directors, technical teams, finance, commercial/operations leadership, subconsultants, and clients across several geographies.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited, to the following tasks:
You will support senior Project Managers and Project Directors with::
- Day-to-day project coordination across architecture, engineering, planning, environmental, and specialist teams.
- Project setup, planning, delivery, reporting, and closeout.
- Tracking actions, deadlines, deliverables, risks, changes, invoices, and project documentation.
- Preparing meeting notes, client updates, presentations, progress reports, and internal review materials.
- Coordinating with subconsultants and vendors.
- Monitoring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.
- Supporting proposal and work-winning activities, including RFP reviews, compliance tracking, fee inputs, and deadline management.
- Using tools such as Deltek GovWin, SAM.gov, client portals, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal AECOM systems.
- Learning how international, public-sector, and U.S. Government projects are planned, managed, delivered, and closed.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organized, reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
- A team player who enjoys working with different people, disciplines, cultures, and time zones.
- Interested in project management, design, construction, consulting, public-sector work, or defense-sector projects.
- Willing to learn project finance, risk management, contract administration, governance, and client management.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Open to occasional travel.
