A role in Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking Coverage team for the German-speaking region offers you an opportunity to work on exciting challenges with some of the most influential decision-makers within Deutsche Bank’s broader Investment Banking & Capital Markets franchise

Your key responsibilities
VP role within the Corporate Finance team based out of Frankfurt, leading day-to-day deal execution as well as coverage of corporates and financial sponsors in the German-speaking region (DACH) with focus on M&A transactions
Developing client relationships through deal execution and pitching as well as communicating and interacting with internal coverage partners and product areas
Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as a leader of a team, including associates and analysts
Analyzing companies and industries and working directly with client management teams
Preparing pitch books, selling memoranda and management presentations
Conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling
Overseeing the building and maintenance of complex financial/valuation models, including DCF, accretion/dilution, LBO, comparable trading and transaction analyses
Participating in the recruitment, development and training of junior bankers
Your skills and experiences
5+ years of experience in Investment Banking with a focus on M&A / ECM at a bulge bracket investment bank
Extensive deal execution track record including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, spin-offs, IPOs, rights issue/ABBs, hostile takeover & activist defense and ratings & financing advisory
Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
Demonstrate a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, creative problem solving abilities and a thorough understanding of accounting and valuation
High levels of initiative and ingenuity, high pro-activity levels and drive
Self-starter with the ability to confidently be the point person on a deal for clients, interacting and advising them on M&A / ECM process matters
Effective organizational skills - the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
Superior written and oral communications skills - in English (must have) and German (beneficial to have)
