Corporate Bank Cards Issuing
The Merchant Solutions Technology group is dedicated to empowering the Corporate Bank with cutting-edge technology and innovative financial solutions. We operate with an Agile, FinTech-like mindset, rapidly responding to market needs and leveraging cloud infrastructure to deliver next-generation products.
We are currently forming a new, dynamic team within the Berlin Tech Hub with a critical mission: to build out and launch a brand-new Commercial Cards Issuing Platform for our corporate clients. This greenfield initiative represents a significant strategic investment, enabling us to provide our SME customers with flexible, modern card solutions that meet their unique business requirements.
As a Developer (f/m/x), you will be developing end-to-end applications for merchant solutions to accomplish business goals.

Your key responsibilities
Desing, build and operate cloud-native applications with high availability architecture using Kotlin, Google Cloud run and Pub/Sub.
Assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices, design principles and Agile methodologies.
Engage with the business sponsors and stakeholders to implement requirements according to agreed timelines.
Mentor engineers support knowledge sharing within the team and collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to deliver complex initiatives.
Troubleshoot new platform setup issues, production incidents, analyze system behavior, and implement improvements to enhance system stability and observability.
Your skills and experiences
Strong prior experience in Core Java or Kotlin including Micronaut or similar frameworks
Solid experience in Database Technologies (e.g. SQL, Hibernate, NoSQL, MongoDB), micro-service architectures.
Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Knowledge of common continuous integration systems CI/CD (e.g GH Actions, Teamcity, Jenkins).
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus
