We are currently looking for a highly motivated Working Student (M/F/D) Advanced Technology to join our team in Munich. You will work with our network engineering team in this role to configure, deploy, and automate VNFs, utilizing Ansible, Terraform, and NETCONF. Experience with these tools is a big plus, as they will be essential in automating the deployment and provisioning processes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Linux-based platforms, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure automation utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to make optical networks quantum-safe.
Principle duties and essential functions
Assist in configuring and deploying Virtual Network Functions on Linux-based platforms.
Customize and optimize existing Linux images to support specific network functions.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of VNFs to ensure functionality and performance.
Collaborate to integrate VNFs into our existing network infrastructure.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) for automation and configuration tasks.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware) is a plus.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
Eagerness to learn and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
