This Role
The Fleet Supervisor helps manage and maintain the company’s vehicles and equipment. This role ensures that all fleet operations run safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You will work closely with and report to the Fleet Manager, and provide regular updates from the Frankfurt site. The job offers strong opportunities for learning, growth, and taking on responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Operations Management
- Coordinate vehicle dispatching and scheduling to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure fleet vehicles are available to meet operational demands.
- Track vehicle movements and fuel consumption.
- Monitor driver activities and enforce company policies.
Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle inspections, registrations, and insurance.
- Work with mechanics and external vendors for repairs and servicing.
Safety & Workplace Standards
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
- Support weekly KPIs and report on fleet-related issues.
- Join the TAPA FSR audit team when required.
- Travel to other ATC sites occasionally to complete fleet audits.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor fuel usage and implement cost-saving measures.
- Manage maintenance and repair expenses within budget.
- Assess and recommend vehicle purchases or leasing options.
Driver Supervision & Training
- Monitor driver performance and provide feedback.
- Ensure drivers maintain proper licenses and certifications.
Reporting & Data Management
- Maintain logs of vehicle usage, maintenance, and fuel expenses.
- Use fleet management software for tracking and reporting
Requirements
Ability to be flexible in respect of work standards and demands. Capable of working under pressure at times and to strict deadlines. Ability to complete tasks. Resilient and able to deal with changing priorities. The successful candidate will be required to possess and demonstrate the following:
- Previous operational experience of Fleet in a logistics environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English
- Time management skills with the competence to manage multiple priorities at once
- Proficient with MS Office skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
