Our team at BMW Group Research and Development develops computational methods and finite element simulations to improve vehicle crashworthiness by optimizing structural and restraint system components. We offer challenging tasks where you support our engineers in their daily work.

 

What awaits you?

• You will support diverse AI tasks within the side crash domain and collaborate with a team of engineers, developers, and students.
• Furthermore, you help to use large language models for assessing the safety performance of our vehicles in crash scenarios.
• In addition, you contribute to continuing the infrastructure work of a former intern, including connection to a GPU workstation.
• Moreover, you will assist in comparing different LLM models and selecting the most suitable model for productive usage.
• You will also gain insight into the BMW Group as an attractive employer and establish valuable connections.

 

What should you bring along?

• Studies in artificial intelligence, computational mechanics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art LLMs and prompting techniques is an advantage.
• Skills in artificial intelligence are preferred.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Good German and English skills.
