As a Logistics & Trade Execution Manager, you will ensure that negotiated and booked steel trades are executed flawlessly from order confirmation to delivery to invoicing and payment. Working closely with the Sales Team, logistics partners, and finance, you will own the operational backbone of our trading business.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate logistics, manage documentation, handle invoicing and payments, and proactively resolve issues when things don’t go as planned. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction, cash flow, and the reliability of our trading operations.

What you will do
Book orders in our ERP system and issue accurate order confirmations
Source logistics quotes and coordinate steel & metal deliveries within Europe (truck, rail) and to export markets (sea)
Work with factoring partners to ensure deal financing when required
Issue outgoing invoices, process incoming invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue receivables
Support statutory reporting (VAT declarations, Intrastat)
Maintain and expand a reliable network of logistics partners across Europe
Improve and automate operational workflows to reduce manual work and increase stability
3+ years of hands-on truck logistics experience
Experience in trading operations or B2B operations for physical goods
Strong understanding of payment terms and receivables management
Familiarity with B2B invoicing processes
Experience with truck and ship logistics, including incoterms and risk transfer
Very high attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and ability to work with large datasets
Ability to work under time pressure while maintaining accuracy
Structured, calm problem-solving approach
Proactive communicator who escalates risks early and keeps stakeholders aligned
Excellent verbal and written communication in English and German

Knowledge of customs procedures
Experience with VAT triangulation schemes
Interest in improving and automating operational workflows
Own a critical part of the trading value chain with real impact on customers and revenue
