Your mission
We are looking for you to join our Sungrow team as our new User Experience Researcher!What does an User Experience Researcher do, you might ask?
Well, this role is allowed to do the best part of our everyday work – to still the hunger for sustainable energy!
In a little more detail, this is what you will do in your day to day job:
User Research & Insights
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, field studies, etc).
- Collect and analyze user needs and pain points for both software platforms and integrated hardware-software products, delivering structured reports.
Service Design & system thinking
- Create service blueprint, customer journey maps, and ecosystem maps to support/improve end-to-end service optimization.
- Translate research insights into UX/UI requirements that guide product and service improvements.
Design Collaboration & Validation
- Collaborate/work with UX/UI designers to prepare prototypes for concept validation and user testing.
- Support the application and validation of research findings in products and services.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, developers, hardware engineers, R&D teams and different business units, to apply user-centered practices.
- Facilitate and execute necessary cross-functional co-creation workshops with different business units, driving Sungrow’s innovation for the European market.
- Collaborate with experts from Europe and HQ to learn and adopt advanced methods and best practices.
Your profile
Now that you are aware of the job requirements let's see if your skillset matches:- Bachelor’s degree in Service Design, Psychology, Interaction Design, UX/UI, HCI, or related fields.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in user research or service design.
- Proficiency in user research methods (interviews, surveys, Usability testing, diary studies, A/B testing, etc.), and co-creation workshop conducting skill is a plus.
- Knowledge of service design methods (service blueprints, journey maps, ecosystem maps).
- Ability to collaborate with designers and contribute to the preparation of prototypes for testing, use UX/UI tools (Figma, Sketch, Axure) to translate insights into design concepts.
- Exposure to software-hardware integration projects, even with services (e.g., APP, IoT, energy management systems).
- English (C1) is a must, German and Chinese preferred
