Cost Modeling Engineer (f/m/d).Ready to help make industry more efficient? Then we’re excited to meet you!
Your mission
- You contribute to the development and continuous improvement of calculation and cost evaluation models
- You label prices, suppliers, and work plans to train our AI models
- You apply your expertise in modeling manufacturing costs, logistics chains, volume and bundling effects, and order configurations
- You dynamically link historical business data, market data, and price trends and derive price development forecasts
- You create meaningful KPIs, reports, and visualizations for our customers
- You develop concepts to model regional, economic, and, in the future, political influences on pricing and supplier selection
- You work closely with the AI and Customer Success teams and ensure the quality of AI models through domain expertise and testing
- You create robust decision-making foundations for real industrial processes — not just analyses
Your profile
- You have a technical vocational qualification with further training (e.g., technician or master craftsman (m/f/d)) or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in cost engineering
- You are confident in working with structured technical information (e.g., from CAD and manufacturing environments) as well as manufacturing processes, methods, and technologies, ideally in mechanical engineering
- You think analytically and have a basic understanding of statistics (e.g., regression models)
- You have solid expertise in component cost calculation and bottom-up costing
- You work in a structured and self-driven manner, are motivated, and open to learning new concepts and subject areas
- You are a team player and communicate openly, clearly, and in a solution-oriented way
- You have very good German and English skills
- Nice to have: Programming experience (e.g., Python/SQL) or a strong interest in data-driven work
