As a Senior Data Engineer / Data Business Partner, you will own and evolve the data ecosystem that powers decision making and enables AI-powered features. You will build reliable data foundations, but also take ownership of the data products and metrics that the business depends on. You will work closely with stakeholders across the company, use AI to accelerate delivery and improve quality, and shape the future of our data capabilities.
Own business-critical data products end-to-end (definitions, reliability, adoption)
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using our stack (Airflow, dbt, AirByte, Fivetran)
Ensure the reliability and performance of our AWS-based data infrastructure (S3, RDS, Kubernetes)
Implement and maintain data quality frameworks, monitoring, and observability
Develop and maintain trusted semantic models and metric definitions (“single source of truth”)
Partner with Product, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate goals into reliable data deliverables
Integrate AI/ML enrichment where it adds measurable value (tagging, recommendations, automation)
Use AI-assisted development tools to increase speed, quality, and maintainability
Contribute to security, governance, and compliance best practices
Strong professional experience with Python and SQL in data engineering
Professional experience with Airflow (required)
Experience with dbt (strongly preferred)
Experience with ELT/ETL tools like AirByte, Fivetran, or similar
Experience working in AWS cloud environments
Experience with data quality, testing, and operational excellence
Strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills
Hands-on experience integrating AI into workflows (model APIs, embeddings, automation)
Active user of AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
